Bihar government will provide financial assistance to students clearing the UPSC and BPSC pre-clearing
It was decided in the cabinet meeting that students who cleared the pre-clearing BPSC would be given Rs 50,000 as help, whereas the pre-clearing students of the UPSC will be given a grant of Rs 1 lakh.
Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced to give big help to the Dalit Candidates preparing for the Civil Services. The Bihar Government will provide financial support to the candidates of the SC and ST categories which will be able to pass the pre-examination of the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and the BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission).
It was decided in a cabinet meeting on Tuesday that 50 thousand rupees will be given to the students clearing the pre-clearing BPSC, whereas the pre-clearing students of the UPSC will be given a grant of Rs 1 lakh.
Commenting on this, the Chief Secretary said, "The state government wants to provide better education system to SC and ST category students. That is why students preparing for the Civil Service will be given financial support. The aim of the government is to help students with pre-cleansing so that they can prepare themselves without worry. "
The Bihar government has named the scheme "Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes" for the benefit of the students. Apart from this, the Bihar government has also given the financial assistance of 1 thousand months to the students living in the SC ST Welfare Dept..
