65 thousand candidates clearing JEE (Main) did not register for Advanced
The largest part of the registration for JEE (Advanced) is open category.
For admission in IITs, JEE (Advanced) exam is scheduled for May 20. Registration process for JEE (Advanced) Exam has been completed. But astonishing thing has come out that about 65,000 candidates who have passed JEE (Main) have not got the registration for JEE (Advanced).
The largest part of the registration for JEE (Advanced) is open category. 42% of the students clearing the JEE (Main) category have not registered for JEE (Advanced).
Out of 2.3 lakh candidates clearing JEE (Main), about 1.55 lakh students have registered for JEE (Advanced) Examination. Last year, 1.7 lakh out of 2.2 million students passing JEE (Main) had registered for JEE (Advanced) Examination.
Let's say that cut off was low in JEE this year, so more students managed to pass the exam. According to the figures released, the cut off has declined in all categories. Of the 2.3 candidates clearing JEE (Main), 1.8 were boys, while 50 thousand were girls
