NEET 2018: Delhi High Court stops imposing notification on CBSE's notice

CBSE NEET 2018: Delhi High Court on Wednesday stayed the ban on the notification regarding the maximum age limit and other rules related to merit.

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday stayed the notification on the maximum age limit for CBSE and other rules related to merit. Candidates of MBBS had opposed the general category category for 25 years and in the reserve category to determine the maximum age limit of 30 years.

Please tell that the last date for submitting the application for 2018 is March 9. In this regard, a bench of Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Chander Shekhar passed the order on separate petitions of MBBS applicants.

Open school students can also apply

According to the notification of the CBSE, the student of the open school was not considered eligible for this examination for taking the biology as an extra subject and taking more than two years to complete the 11th and 12th standard.

While issuing the interim order, the court also clarified that the candidates can apply for the entrance exam but this does not mean that they can sit in Exam.

The order of the court will continue till the next hearing on April 6.

The Bench said that students completing their studies from the Open School and a privately-accredited board can apply for the examination. The court said that this interim order will continue till the next hearing on April 6.
