Right now, in the madarsas of the state, there is a study of mathematics, science, ayush and sociology as an optional subject. UMEB Deputy Registrar Akhilak Ahmed said that the six-member committee of the board on Wednesday accepted the proposal to include Sanskrit and computer science as optional subjects.

Ahmed said that the proposal will be forwarded to the higher committee of the Board for approval. A few days before the approval to include Sanskrit in Syllabus, Uttarakhand Madrasa Welfare Society had approached the state government to include Sanskrit as a subject.
